ABOUT THE ARTIST
While Greenville, Ohio is the place I happily call home, I grew up in far Northeast Ohio in the fringes of what is still considered Appalachia. This area was a combination of broken rustbelt dreams and and rural communities that are often left behind. My artwork searches for the glimpses of beauty that can be found in this way of living, but also the beauty found in getting away and exploring new opportunities.
By working with oil paints, I create pieces that show texture on the canvas. Each brushstroke documents my artistic journey and captures the energy of the brush as it moves across the surface. Viewers can expect more than a material object from my paintings. They are conversation pieces that capture both memories and experiences.
